Laura in Tears top [PRE-ORDER]

A sleeveless high-neck bodice made of 5 layers of delicate lace, tulle, and satin with the seams facing outward. Each panel consists of 1-5 vertical stitch lines that are cut open to reveal delicate lace beneath, with the wearer's skin slightly peeking through.

The frayed edges become a design feature that make the garment appear as if its been scratched apart—the slashes becoming denser as it reaches the heart. These may be ironed open to reveal more of the underlaying lace and skin.

The silhouette and cut is inspired by 16th-century men's jerkins which were also decorated with a technique from the period similarly referred to as "slashing".

Washing instructions: May be machine-washed. Comes with a complementary mesh bag to separate the piece from other items being washed. Fabrics used produce minimal to no fraying, but please turn the garment inside out before washing to prevent the delicate materials from snagging on other clothing
